Summary of Role:

The SVP/Florida Account Executive (AE) Leader is a full-time position, working with the office leader(s) within the specified geography of the Region to help manage and grow the Property Casualty book of business. As part of this role, the Florida AE Leader will liaise between the Producers and Account Management team to ensure a seamless renewal process for clients, partner with Producers in bringing in and marketing new business, working with various Industry and Practice resources for specialized technical support and effectively deliver the resources of NFP to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of all lines of commercial coverage (CL), a self-starter attitude, effective direct and influence-based leadership abilities and excellent communication and organization skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Office Leader(s) and Producers to help manage and grow their book of business.
  • Provide strategic guidance and tactical support to grow various Florida office book(s) of business.
  • Liaison between Producers and Account Management staff to effectively deliver NFP services to clients.
  • Provide oversight and accountability on client deliverables throughout the year (i.e., renewal policies/summary delivery, stewardship reports, pre-renewal strategies, etc.).
  • Build and maintain effective NFP corporate relationships to benefit clients (i.e., Data Analytics, Mergers & Acquisitions Team, Management Liability Practice, Cyber Liability Practice, Construction & Infrastructure Practice, Energy Practice, Real Estate Practice, Claims Practice, Legal, Risk Management/OSH, etc.)
  • Manage existing broking and account management teams in Florida territory and assist in finding, recruiting, & training Account Executives and Account Management staff in the future as book of business supports the growth.
  • Partner with other AE Leaders in the Region, Regional P&C Leader and the appropriate Industry and Practice Leaders to establish consistent broking and account management strategies maximizing resources and delivery excellence to clients.
New Business:
  • Effectively communicate with prospective clients throughout the new business sales cycle.
  • Assist in closing prospective clients alongside Producers to include helping on proposals/pitch presentations, analytics, service deliverables, service calendars, etc.
  • Provide new clients strategic guidance on timeline/deliverables with NFP.
  • Assist Producers in obtaining necessary data from prospects and follow up on open items when full submission is not fully completed and received.
  • Manages new business transition from prospect to client, including internal assignment to proper service team.

Marketing/Renewals:

  • Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and wholesalers in the Region and work with Carrier Management Practice to leverage national relationships and facilities to the Florida team.
  • Responsible to act on and complete client requests and/or action items that may arise throughout the year with dedicated Account Management teams. Including but not limited to:
o Responding to new coverage requests, gathering information on a new company, acquisition or project, communicating with carrier markets for quotes and
reviewing for accuracy.
  • Meet with Officer Leaders and Producers on a regular basis to assist with renewal and communication strategy and address client concerns.
  • Responsibilities as it relates to Renewal Business:
o Serve as the line of communication between Producers and Account Management team to ensure that the renewal process is moving forward in a timely manner; maintain and manage renewal calendar, perform appropriate outreach and ensure effective communication to clients and Advisor regarding updates on incumbent and alternative options.
o Negotiate with underwriters as needed.
o Provide feedback and guidance on proposals as needed.
o Lead proposal meetings with clients with or without Advisor presence.
o Document meeting takeaways and next steps; ensure proper execution and
follow up.

Client Retention:
  • Coordinate and run midyear/stewardship meetings with clients.
  • Coordinate broader NFP resources (i.e., Data Analytics, Mergers & Acquisitions Team, Management Liability Practice, Cyber Liability Practice, Construction & Infrastructure Practice, Energy Practice, Real Estate Practice, Claims Practice, Legal, Risk Management/OSH, etc.)
  • Develop and communicate client strategies with broader NFP resources to the local Account Management staff.
  • Meet with Advisor routinely to coordinate client servicing, strategy, etc.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:
  • Knowledge of all areas of commercial property & casualty insurance coverage
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs.
  • Effective time management and decision-making skills.
  • Diligent follow up skills.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Commanding presentation and public speaking abilities
Education and/or Experience:
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • More than 10 years of directly related industry experience.
  • Experience with the EPIC and Salesforce systems preferable

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • P&C Insurance Broker license required.
  • Additional P&C insurance industry certifications preferable
